Using the RackLink Discovery Tool on a PC
The following steps show you how to use the RackLink Discovery Tool on a PC.

If you haven’t done so already, download the Discovery Tool self-extracting executable onto your computer from the Power Downloads page at: https://www.legrandav.com/resources/power-downloads.

Run the Windows executable file.
NOTE
You may need to contact your administrator to run a self-extracting executable on your computer.
After launching the RackLink Discovery Tool, the program automatically discovers all RackLink devices on the subnet to which you are connected.

Use the Discover button to refresh the screen and discover any newly connected RackLink devices. By default, the RackLink device is set for DHCP. You can identify each device by the MAC address or IP address.
NOTE
You may need to disable your Windows firewall to discover your device.

Click Device Control to access the web interface for a specific device.

The system prompts you for a username and password.
